Support Christian refugees this Lent!

The season of Lent calls us to draw closer to our Lord in prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. There are great needs in our world today, and as Catholic Christians we have a mission to work for justice and mercy (Micah 6:8).

The Knights of Columbus stand in solidarity with persecuted Christians and provide support to these groups through our donations and prayers. This Lent, we invite you to consider contributing to the Knights' Christian Refugee Relief efforts. The Knights offer support through several initiatives in Syria, Haiti, Ukraine, Iraq, and many other countries, and you can direct your contribution toward whichever initiative you feel most called to support.

There are multiple ways to make a donation:

  • For cheques, please make them out to Knights of Columbus Ontario Charity Foundation, with the name of your chosen initiative(s) in the memo section. Include your address and e-mail for a tax receipt. Mail your cheque to:

Ontario Christian Refugee Relief Director

6428 Yonge Street, Centerpoint 37150

Toronto, Ontario, M2M 4J8

  • You can also donate by e-transfer to payments@ontariokofc.ca. Please specify "Christian Refugee Relief" and your chosen initiative(s), and include your address and e-mail for a tax receipt. Please also send a copy of your e-transfer to Hikmat Dandan (knightsofcolumbus@hotmail.com) for follow-up.

Christians are among the most persecuted people in the world, and we encourage you to consider joining the Knights in supporting those in need this Lent. We pray that this holy season brings you closer to our Lord Jesus and prepares your for the Easter season ahead!

"This poor soul cried, and was heard by the Lord, and was saved from every trouble."—Psalm 34:6
