Why should I join the Knights of Columbus?

There are several reasons to consider becoming a Knight, including the following:

  • Join a band of brothers spanning communities around the world, engaging in the corporal works of mercy to serve God and neighbour.

  • Engage in your Parish and put your Catholic faith into action.

  • Support and take part in the New Evangelization.

  • Help to meet community needs through charity and service, and deepen your faith through your volunteer work.

  • Give back to the local community and put your ideals into action.

  • Work alongside men of similar beliefs, values, and interests.

  • Uphold and promote Catholic teaching by defending marriage, families, and the culture of life.

  • Provide for our members and their families through the Knights' Fraternal Benefits program.

Why wait any longer?

If you are a practicing Catholic gentleman of at least 18 years of age who is looking to serve the Church, consider becoming a Knight of Columbus and working alongside your brothers in faith!

The Knights of Columbus have streamlined how to become a Knight using an online exemplification process. Each Knight achieves a series of four degrees of membership, and candidates can complete their first three degrees by viewing an on-demand exemplification ceremony. You can find more information about the online process in the PDF below:

You can also access the online exemplification directly by clicking here. When registering for the webcast, specify "1507" as the Council Number and either "Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate" or "Holy Rosary Parish" if you are interested in joining Council 1507.

Once you have completed the online exemplification, we will be in touch with further details about how to get involved in the Council and its work. Please note that our Council collects a yearly membership fee of $40.00 per person to support ongoing Council management and expenses.
